Amid sunlit gardens and wind-tickled green foliage, limned by the golds of early autumn, I am seized by a sudden and intensely nostalgic desire to sit out on a sun-drenched terrace in a floral garden dress, wearing an elegant hat. I want to sip steeped, loose leaf tea from bone china and nibble on crustless sandwiches and sugar biscuits.

Instead, I walk about in my jeans, sip coffee from mugs and swig water from a stainless steel bottle. Usually, this is sufficient for me. But today–just today–I yearn for the elegance of another time.
